Senior Accountant (m/f)

We are looking for a well-experienced and qualified Senior Accountant (m/f) for a great 5* American Cruise Line with international passengers and great itineraries throughout the world. This position contributes to the Company's Mission, values, and strategic priorities by implementing the service principles of sincere Hospitality and company service standards in the following areas: provide highest level of service in a prompt, friendly and personalized manner, training assistance for new Crew members, safe professional and personal practices, Congeniality and teamwork and effective business processes.

You must have extremely good accounting and finance knowledge- ideally as Sr. Accountant on a seagoing operation already, and must have at least three years at management level. You will assist the Financial Officer in providing a professional accountable financial service on board the vessel and to be fully accountable for accuracy of Guest and Crew Accounts, Payroll and Crew Welfare finances. Your duties f.e. will be - but not limited to:

• Prompt and accurate closing of the Officer and Crew payroll as specified by the Financial Officer.
• Proven understanding of Financial Department and other departments responsible for Fidelio postings of the importance of following Silversea Cruises processes and procedures.
• Guaranteeing zero errors in Guest and Crew accounts through training appropriate parties and ensuring systems are in place to prevent them.
• Assist Financial Officer to ensure a prompt and fine free clearance of the Ship.
• Ensure that Guest terminal check-in is a positive experience as measured by the Guest comment cards.
• Scan the Guest comment cards and process Ships ratings.

You should have excellent communication skills, combined with exceptional written and oral communication skill in an international environment and with various of Nationalities as

Crew Members. You should be well organized, have a positive, open minded personality and be stress-resistant at all times. We are looking for a “true” team player and not just an Accountant, combined with great administration and numbers skills! Also the position requires the ability to motivate, lead and support an international team on board, while leading by example.

Fluent English is required, any additional European language - ideally German, French, Italian and/or Spanish – would be a big plus. Also required are outstanding computer skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and MAPS.
