Bar Manager (m/f/d)

Skills& Education:

We are looking for a well-experienced Bar-/Public Rooms Manager (m/f/d) for a great

4* European Cruise Line with international passengers and great itineraries throughout the world.

You must have at least five years experience as Beverage Manager or similar in a fast pace 4 or 5 star environments with an international clientele and experience in a multiple outlet beverage operation and previous ship experience. You must have a “hands on” mentality and should be a positive, open minded person.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate the Bar Department to the best extent and achieve the company requirements for the Health & Safety procedures.
• Daily inspections of all bars and public rooms in regard to sanitation, AVO's clean furniture, drapes open/closed and daily specials advertised.
• Order all bar equipment and consumable e.g. blenders/ice scoops/glasses etc.
• Train all key personnel in service procedures and drink preparation to achieve the highest standards.
• Overall beverage ordering is the responsibility of the Public Rooms Manager and you will liaise with the Provision Manager to ensure all supplies are on board and we do not run out of any items.
• Be fully aware of the company disciplinary procedure and inform the F&B Manager of any action to be taken.
• Meet with F&B on a daily basis to discuss the days business and any forth coming events.
• Assist with shore party duties during tender operations.
• Liaise with the Cruise Director and Daily Program Co-ordinator to promote sales on board.

You should have good proven management and people skills and be a friendly and stress-resistant crew member, that leads by example. An exceptional written and oral communication skill is a must and you should be a positive, open minded person. You should have advanced USPH knowledge, computer literate, well organized and must be a team player. The position requires the ability to motivate, lead and support an international team.

Fluent English is required any additional language would be a plus - also required: excellent computer skills.
