Marine Systems - It Senior Manager

The Carnival Maritime IT Department is looking for a talented leader to join the team as Marine Systems Senior Manager. Carnival Maritime IT mission is developing and ensuring the smooth operation of the technological capabilities in all Maritime sectors, for the entire Costa Group, aiming to achieve effectiveness and innovation in alignment with the brand’s operational and financial performance targets. The chosen candidate will report to the Brand IT Director and will be responsible for managing IT programs, projects and systems in the Nautical, Energy Efficiency, Safety&Security, Ports & Itineraries areas.

Main responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage all the IT initiatives in the above mentioned areas, managing also the Road Map and related Project Plans in scope;
• Manage the budget for applications in scope, including the planning, the progress and the finalization,
• Collaborate with the Business Departments (Costa, Costa Asia, AIDA and Carnival Maritime) to collect requirements and priorities on initiatives;
• Manage and coordinate IT Project Managers and their teams;
• Interact with the software vendors managing the systems in place;
• Interface with the Change Manager both of Costa and AIDA for the roll-out of the various releases accordingly with the plans;
• Interface with other operating lines brand IT department to assure infrastructure changes needed for implementing the cross brand planned projects

Ideal for people who have:

• Successful experience in program and project management in complex environments (at least 10 years);
• Excellent leadership and people management skills;
• Solid knowledge of IT business and focus both on Innovation and Delivery;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Experience in the Marine industry may be considered as preferral;
• Proficient knowledge of English, B2 level (any other language represents an appreciated skill); Location: Italy, Genoa with availability for travelling on monthly basis
