Casino Manager (m/fd)

worldwide operations in our Casinos on board a cruise ship with German speaking guests

We are seeking for a cosmopolitan Manager who is able in leading our Casino Team. Our casino management is in charge of managing the overall casino operation, including all gaming functions onboard the ship. This team constantly strives to create an entertaining gaming environment, which intrigues, attracts, and retains the attention of our guests. Previous casino management experience, excellent customer service, dealing experience, excellent communication, technical and financial skills are required.

As part of the Merkur Mare family you will constantly strive to create an entertaining gaming experience and provide a superb customer service to our guests enjoying the on board Casino.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• As head of our Casino Team you provide excellent service to our guests that will encourage them to spend a major part of their time in the Casino which includes slots, tables, video arcades, as well as conducting or assisting with lotto and bingo events.
• It is your responsibility to maximise revenue opportunities with prudent cost controls practised by the entire Casino Team.
• You ensure that all guests’ needs are attended to promptly and efficiently, maintaining the highest service standards at all times.
• As a working manager you are actively involved in all Casino areas, such as service on the slot floor, operating the cash desk incl. securing of company assets as well as dealing at the tables (Blackjack and Poker).
• Ensure a comprehensive and transparent workflow to meet the highest standard of operational and compliance requirements.
• Regular and direct reporting of financial results to the Head Quarter.
• Support, guide and advise staff to reach their true potential and identify suitable employees for advancement.
• Enhancing and developing all marketing activities on board.
• Technical service and maintenance for entire casino equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• You have already worked as a Manager in the casino industry would be a great benefit.
• General experience in the casino industry including dealing skills and/ or working experience in the cruise ship industry
• English & German should be fluent, any additional European language is considered as an advantage.
• A Customer-oriented attitude, excellent leadership and management skills, distinct communication skills and a well-groomed appearance are a must.
• Strong willingness and ability to travel (5-6 months on board).
• Basic Technical understanding and skills in working with a PC
