Marine Superintendent - Ports

I am currently supporting one of Europe's busiest ferry ports to bring on a new Marine Superintendent into their office near Folkstone in Kent.

In this new role, you will report directly into the General Manager and be primarily responsible for ensuring all marine services and outputs within the port are planned, reviewed and delivered safely and cost effectively. You will be authorised as a Master on board all the Port Vessels and provide vessel services to a full range of the port's customers.

The ideal candidate for this role will hold a minimum of Master > 500GT Near Coastal COC, be an experienced DPA and hold ISM Auditor Qualifications. Previous operational experience in a shore based role such as Marine Manger or Marine Superintendent would be desirable, and knowledge of management and audit processes of a Safety Management system, with hands on leadership experience would be highly attractive to the employer.
