Responsibilities and Tasks

• Supporting the communication between medical staff and patients in the hospital
• Professional support for medical examinations and therapies
• Coordinating the activity of nurses and medical assistents
• Supports the medical staff and the patients providing translation service 3. Assists with proper documentation and archiving of medical data collected from patients
• Has an overview of the medical equipment and medicine
• Participates in regular hospital meetings
• Participates in regular trainings and drills
• Participates in other activities like vaccination coordination, testings and public health related requirements
• Acknowledges and follows the HESS regulations which are available on board and ensures that they are followed by the medical team.

Educational requirements

• National Certificate of Competency
• The person in this position is a medical specialist (surgery, internal medicine, general medicine, or anaesthesia) or a Doctor in training in one of these specialties with at least 3 years of professional experience including at least six months of ICU, ER or Ambulance Service
• He/she has had emergency medical training (e.g. “Fachkunde Rettungsdienst” or “Zusatzbezeichnung Notfallmedizin”) and relevant experience in acute and emergency medicine
• He/she has X-ray capabilities and verification of valid radiation protection course (e.g. “Fachkunde Strahlenschutz”)
• He/she has certificates of ATLS / PALS / ACLS or equivalent
• For Hospital Advisors it can be considered EU Doctors with studies done within the EU with specialisation in either General Practice, Anaesthesiology, Internal Medicine or Surgery and an additional qualification in emergency medicine or an equivalent experience. (min 3 years professional experience)

Professional Experience:

General knowledge in:

• Advanced airway management
• Conscious sedation and pain management
• Emergency cardiovascular management and care
• Minor surgical procedures, including suturing
• Fracture and dislocation management including casting or splinting.
• Interpretation of ECG’s, X‐rays and standard laboratory tests
• Sonography

Language skills

• Fluent English language skills verbal and written is required
• Ability to understand and communicate with basic phrases in German language skills, verbal and written - A1 (preferred)
