Party Squad – Cruise ship

Responsibilities:

• Attends all parties & theme night events and ensures a great atmosphere by making sure all guests are entertained by hosting Party games and maintaining the Party atmosphere throughout the whole event.
• Maintains continual interaction with the guests at all parties and themed events.
• Participates in parties/shows and events presented by the Entertainment Division by taking part in skits, and/ or simple dance routines. Instructs, organizes, or facilitates various activities. May serve as emcee for activities.
• Performs different acts throughout the voyage. Examples could be dance classes, freestyle dance sets, water blasters and performing as the Champagnators (Champagne Guns). Please note as the Champagne guns have alcohol, Party Brand Ambassadors must follow and be trained in the ‘Serve Safe’ policy. Assembles and disassembles pre and post activity props and equipment. Returns items to storage area.
• Works with Cruise Director, Assistant Cruise Director, and other onboard teams to discuss all Party operations and continuous improvement to the Party and Nightlife product.
• This position will work closely with the onboard Beverage team to ensure all parties and events are prepared for optimum beverage cross-promotion to generate beverage revenue.
• Maintains inventory of various prize lockers, office supplies and consumable items utilized in the backstage areas. Coordinates with the Cruise Programs Administrator, Central Stores and Provision area when requisitioning supplies.
• Always socializes with guests in public areas in accordance with cruise line policy.
• Attends meetings, training activities, courses and all other work-related activities as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years entertainment/recreational/program management experience, or equivalent onboard experience.
• Previous Party host experience, preferred.
• Must be able to have good microphone skills.
• Must have an outgoing friendly personality.
• Good understanding of what keeps the party going all day or night long.
• Understanding of different games events and techniques to keep guests entertained during a nightclub/pool party atmosphere.
• Additional languages are a plus
