Your Purpose
Lead and define the strategic planning, deployment, and operational management of the Multimedia Department while supporting audiovisual (AV) systems across fleet and corporate infrastructure. Oversee fleet multimedia content, technology innovation, and AV operations to maximise guest experience and maintain consistent brand standards. Working closely with global teams, new build projects, and external stakeholders, drive collaboration across Entertainment, Marketing, IT, Digital, Production, and technical functions to deliver seamless digital experiences. The AV scope expands beyond traditional multimedia, supporting wider technical initiatives across the Entertainment division — including theatrical and guest activities — and acting as a key bridge between operational entertainment needs and technical delivery teams.
Your Impact
- Manage multimedia and AV operations, including the design, implementation, optimisation, and lifecycle management of audio, video, broadcast, digital signage, and content delivery systems.
- Partner with shoreside and onboard technical teams to ensure equipment reliability, structured maintenance planning, operational scheduling, and agreed repair strategies across the fleet.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with Entertainment, Marketing, IT, Digital, Production, and technical stakeholders to deliver innovative onboard and shoreside guest experiences.
- Act as the primary liaison between Entertainment, Production vendors, external contractors, and the Show and Multimedia department, translating creative and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Advise and support New Build projects on multimedia and AV technical requirements, ensuring future-proof, sustainable technology integration.
- Collaborate with Brand, Marketing, and content providers to develop, brief, and implement new ship-based media content strategies and onboard marketing initiatives.
- Define and project manage operational workflows and delivery plans for Entertainment and onboard marketing content across shipboard screens and digital platforms.
- Oversee vendor relationships, procurement activities, and associated budgets to maintain cost efficiency while ensuring technical excellence.
- Monitor and evaluate global technology trends to keep fleet systems innovative, competitive, and aligned with evolving guest expectations.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve standard operating procedures and technical standards, ensuring fleetwide consistency, safety, and operational efficiency in line with corporate Entertainment guidelines.
- Supervise, appraise, and mentor ship-based and touring technicians globally, ensuring compliance with safety, maritime, and corporate policies.
- Support live events, broadcasting, corporate communications, and multimedia initiatives through strategic planning combined with hands-on technical leadership.
- Manage and govern visual content provided by internal and external partners for broadcast across onboard platforms.
Your Journey so far
- Extensive experience within cruise environments is a must.
- Senior operational and managerial experience within the Entertainment industry.
- Mother tongue English; Italian, German, or Spanish advantageous.
- Strong background in broadcasting, web, TV, theatrical production, or digital media operations with managerial responsibility.
- Knowledge of enterprise Content Management Systems and digital platforms.
- Solid IT literacy with understanding of systems architecture and AV integration.
- Full understanding of LES systems within the maritime industry.
- Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and CAD software).
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, solve complex operational challenges, and manage global teams.
- International mindset with experience supporting mixed-nationality audiences and global operations.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
