Reporting to the Chief Housekeeper, Butler Manager & Senior Butler, the Butler owns the guests’ in-suite experience, offering a seamless execution of premium service that is both exceptional and memorable. As part of the housekeeping team, the Butler is the liaison between the guest and all Hotel and Marine Departments, proactively anticipating every guests’ needs and expectations. The Butler must possess outstanding hospitality, communication and organizational skills in addition to effective decision-making abilities. Paying keen attention to detail, the Butler is held fully accountable for the quality of their guests’ personalized experience. This individual will take full responsibility and accountability for the maintenance as well as the look and feel of each assigned suite and will also ensure the flawless delivery of all amenities to the highest level of expectation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized Butler service by preparing and maintaining guest suites according to preferences and company standards
• Is fully knowledgeable of the in-suite services, food and beverages, basic etiquette, amenities, functions, and systems
• Is knowledgeable about the ship’s layout, daily program and itinerary.
• Coordinate and provide in-suite services including dining, amenities, housekeeping support, laundry, packing/unpacking, shoeshine and any other special requests
• Anticipate, respond to, and follow up on guest requests, inquiries, and concerns to ensure exceptional satisfaction.
• Responsible for the replenishing of in-suite amenities such as private bar, fruit basket, various collaterals and delivery of mail to the suites.
• Demonstrate strong capability in using WhatsApp Business and other authorized digital tools to support guest communication, manage service updates and enhance the personalized Butler Service experience.
• Assist in booking reservations for restaurants, spa, shore excursions and private tours as required.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, inventory, and public health compliance in suites, pantries, and assigned areas
• Support embarkation and disembarkation processes, including luggage handling
• Monitor and report maintenance issues; ensure proper use and care of equipment
• Ensure that crockery, cutlery and glassware are stocked and kept clean as per Company and USPH standards.
• Maintain accurate guest history records and communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments ensuring prompt recovery
• Uphold company service standards, professionalism, discretion, and grooming policies always
• Support and assist the suite attendants in all in-suite services to ensure that they succeed.
• Participate in training, team collaboration, and continuous service improvement
• Consistently meet or exceed performance targets in compliance with company established Service Standards.
• All other duties as assigned

Qualification requirements:

• Minimum of two (2) years guest facing service experience in a luxury environment.
• Combination of education equivalent to high school diploma or any other source of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Confident, well-groomed appearance with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
• Strong emotional intelligence is required with resourceful thinking and a working knowledge of conflict resolution, Food and beverages and the ability to confidently speak on and properly serve such items.
• Ability to fulfil the above-mentioned Key Responsibilities and all reasonable company requests.

Knowledge and skills requirements:

• Conversational in an additional language is mandatory such as (German, Portuguese, French, Italian, Spanish, Mandarin, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Arabic).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (word, Excel, outlook, PowerPoint) and able to efficiently use internal guest service systems.

• Comprehensive understanding of ultra-luxury hospitality standards and bespoke guest service delivery
• Mastery of formal dining etiquette, silver service, and in-suite fine dining presentation
• Advanced knowledge of premium wines, champagne, rare spirits, and gourmet cuisine
• Deep understanding of VIP, celebrity, and high-net-worth guest expectations
• Cultural intelligence and international protocol awareness
• Expertise in luxury suite inspection, wardrobe management, and garment care
• Strong knowledge of onboard operations, yacht-style service standards, maritime safety regulations (MLC) and service-related USPH regulations
• Proficiency in property management systems and luxury guest preference tracking systems
• Thorough knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and Forbes quality & Service standards
• Exceptional anticipatory service with the ability to personalize every guest interaction
• Refined communication skills with polished & articulate English (additional languages highly desirable)
• Absolute discretion and confidentiality in handling high-profile clientele
• Impeccable grooming, poise, and professional presence
• Strong emotional intelligence and ability to read guest cues
• Superior organizational skills with acute attention to detail
• Ability to curate bespoke experiences and private celebrations/events
