Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for entertainment, hospitality, and creating unforgettable guest experiences? Join our team as a Cruise Director and take charge of delivering exceptional onboard entertainment while leading a high-performing, multicultural team.


Position Summary

As the Cruise Director, you will be fully responsible for delivering high-quality, personalized, and technically excellent entertainment experiences onboard, ensuring complete guest satisfaction while upholding company standards.

 

  • Oversee and manage all onboard entertainment operations.Lead the production of evening shows, social events, deck parties, and enrichment programs such as lectures and religious services.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, performance standards, and punctuality across the entertainment team.
  • Actively engage with guests to understand their preferences, resolve issues efficiently, and deliver a personalized experience.
  • Manage team performance through training, coaching, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain operational excellence by monitoring entertainment quality, equipment, budgets, inventory, and expenses, while ensuring compliance with work/rest hour regulations.
  • Serve as the face of entertainment onboard by hosting events, making announcements, and creating a vibrant guest atmosphere.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years in a similar role within the cruise industry
  • Strong leadership experience in multicultural environments
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Entertainment background is an advantage
  • Valid STCW certification

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and cultural awareness


Language Requirements

  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Additional language (German, French, Italian, Spanish, or Portuguese)


Technical Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Fidelio Cruise System
