Executive Housekeeper

POSITION SUMMARY

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the overall operation of the Housekeeping Division. The Executive Housekeeper will ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures are always followed. The Executive Housekeeper is the “face” of Housekeeping and will always follow Royal Way standards and ensure the division does the same. The Executive Housekeeper will ensure that all operational goals and targets are reached with consistency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. The Executive Housekeeper is a critical member of the shipboard management team and is responsible for the management of all Housekeeping functions and team members.
2. The Executive Housekeeper possesses a dynamic outgoing demeanor with a passion for delivering exceptional service while demonstrating exemplary leadership skills.
3. The Executive Housekeeper is always an ambassador of the ROYAL Way standards and values. The Executive Housekeeper continually strives to exceed hospitality industry cleanliness and presentation standards, while ensuring complete guest and team satisfaction.
4. The Executive Housekeeper establishes and maintains a positive working environment to include transparency, fairness, and consistency, with a clear performance expectations and open and frequent communication.
5. The Executive Housekeeper will focus on operational goals where training, leadership development, and recognizing overall team performance are paramount. Leading by example the Executive Housekeeper will instill an environment where team members are enabled to deliver exceptional customer service to our guests through flawless and consistent execution of their responsibilities.
6. The Executive Housekeeper will conduct effective meetings with clear communication skills and the ability to engage team members.
7. The Executive Housekeeper will be able to recruit and motivate crew members to achieve the desired divisional standards and goals.
8. The Executive Housekeeper will encourage teamwork among all crew members.
9. The Executive Housekeeper will develop meaningful budgets and operational plans that meet KPI goals.
10. Crew drills will be monitored by the Executive Housekeeper to ensure that all Housekeeping team members participate fully and to SQM standards.
11. The Executive Housekeeper will attend all meetings and calls with Shoreside as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Shipboard experience required ​
2. Candidates must have prior exposure to shipboard operations and routines. No minimum contract onboard. ​
3. Knowledgeable about ship life. Applicants should understand ship life, structure, hierarchy, and daily routines.​
4. Must demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, and positive interpersonal skills when handling shipboard challenges.
