Chief Housekeeper (f/m)

COLUMBIA Shipmanagement Ltd is looking to recruit a Chief Housekeeper (f/m) for a reputable passenger ship owner.  If you are interested in COLUMBIA and believe you can contribute to our success and our client`s success, you should at least fulfil the following job requirements:

• General academic qualification and relevant subsequent training;
• Minimum 3 year experience in a similar position onboard;
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment;
• Strong managerial skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Good command of the English language - additional languages are considered as an advantage
• Computer Skills;
• STCW Certification;

Primary duties and responsibilities:

The Chief Housekeeper supervises the housekeeping crew, cabin services, room services, bell services, passenger baggage handling and distribution, laundry services and ship`s flowers.  He/She is responsible for the housekeeping operations on board, aiming to provide high quality services in a cost efficient manner, and in accordance with the Company`s relevant policies and procedures.  He/She ensures that all areas of the hotel, including all public toilets, corridors, staircases and gangways are maintained clean and tidy.
