Senior Software Engineer (m/f)

About the role:

As part of an agile software development team based in Hamburg you are going to collaborate closely with your fellow engineers, designers, data analysts and product owners to build data-driven customer facing products as well as internal tools for our colleagues.

• Help re-architect and build our products
• Build and run robust distributed systems
• Build a services oriented platform based on APIs
• Participate in code reviews in a continuous delivery environment
• State your opinions and contribute to an inclusive decision-making process
• Learn new things, mentor and share knowledge with team members

Who you are:

• Love what you do

• Strong communication skills with fellow engineers, product managers, and designers
• Have a drive to help remove roadblocks and solve problems with teams and individuals
• The ability to stay focused on the most important things
• A deep understanding of how engineering and product teams work well together and motivation to get involved with helping improve things
• Possess extensive experience programming in, e.g. Ruby, JavaScript
• Have good web development experience
• Exhibit strong database skills
• Like to work with technologies like Docker, AWS (e.g. EC2, ECS) and terraform
• Feel the necessity for high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices
