German Speaking Waiter on a Luxury River Ship

Batory Recruitment is currently looking for employees and recruiting on board beautiful river cruise ships of 4 of the leading European River Cruise Lines. A good command of German  is mandatory. We are looking for many employees for the position:

Objective of the work:

The waiter is responsible for service in restaurants on the ships. He welcomes guests at his tables, works with them in a friendly, helpful and professional manner, delivers menus, takes orders, recommends dishes, delivers bread and water, and sees that tables are always clean and tidy. The waiter pays special attention to the needs of guests with whom he regularly contacts.

Your tasks:

Greets, presents the menu and takes orders from guests; Provides a list of wines and drinks and helps guests make their choice;
Serves various dishes and drinks, ensuring their correct presentation;
Supervises the assigned station in any restaurant, including the buffet; Ensures the assigned station is clean and supervises correct alignment before and after each change;
Immediately reports any problems and complaints from guests to the immediate supervisor;
The waiter supervises the junior waiter / The junior waiter reports to and helps the waiter

Requirements for work:

• Effective communication in German
• Good command of English is an advantage but not required (knowledge of more than 1 foreign language is an advantage)
• Adequate at least 1 year of experience on board or at least 2 years of professional experience in a restaurant / bar / cafe / pub / gastronomy onshore
• Good knowledge of food and drink
• Good interpersonal skills, positive attitude and willingness to learn;
• Passion for hospitality and customer service management;
• Experience in a restaurant, hotel or holiday village is an advantage;

Visa and Health Requirements:

• Health condition that allows you to work on a ship
• Nationality of a country from  European Union

The conditions of employment benefits:

• Basic guaranteed monthly salary of 1150 Euro net
• Additional fixed and very high personal tips (500 Euro per month shared from a shared basket + several hundred or more Euro per month tips in cash in hand)
• Free food and accommodation throughout the contract
• Round trip paid for by the employer
• Duration of the contract on average 4-5 months (then 2-3 months off and the contract). It is also possible to conclude an employment contract for an indefinite period.
• Every 6 weeks a 2-week paid vacation

• The start of work is planned for August 2020 and / or September  2020
• Possibility to use the premises and attractions for the crew of the ship free of charge, such as: Crew Bar, Crew Gym, Ship's Solar Deck, Discount on goods in boutiques on the ship
• Visiting in your free time on a pass beautiful tourist attractions and ports (an average of 110 new places during one contract and 45 thousand km of traveled on the rivers of Europe: Danube, etc.)
