The Receptionist is a key position in order to reach the maximum guest satisfaction.

He/she maintains a calm, courteous and professional demeanor at all times regardless of the guest’s behavior even though it may be stressful sometimes due to interaction with many different people with different types of personalities, and being expected to perform multiple tasks quickly.

The qualities that a Receptionist is expected to have in order to do the job successfully are: cleaned and well groomed appearance, initiative, loyalty, maturity, respect for confidentiality and discretion, a positive attitude and dependability.

A Receptionist should be good at figures, have a flair for organization, and like communicating with guests.

• check-in and check-out procedures
• making proper arrangements in terms of cabin assignments
• responsible for clearance papers for arrival /departure to and from ports of call, customs declaration, embarking and disembarking of crew and passengers
• upkeeping of crew and pax lists, muster lists
• follow-up on passengers’ requests handed to the front desk
• dealing with and solving pax complaints
• providing guest services, information
