Ship's Doctor - Cruise Ship (Japanese Speaking)

VIKAND manages the Medical Centers onboard many new and upscale cruise ships and continue to grow. We are currently looking for experienced Doctors and Nurses with passion for their jobs and with cruise ship experience.

Vikand will contract qualified Physicians and Nurses to provide medical care for guests, crew and concessionaires onboard the assigned vessel. The primary function of the Physician is to provide medical advice and services to the guests, crew and concessionaires

The Physician requires the following credentials:

Current registration and valid licensure
Current ACLS or equivalent certification
Current PALS or equivalent certification (for ships with children only)
Current ATLS or equivalent certification
Current Sexual Assault certification (can be carried out onboard)

Fluency in English and fluency or good conversational Japanese required. 

STCW Seafaring Certificates (Basic Training) will be a bonus but can be organised after interview if the applicant is sucessful.

Three years of post-graduate experience in General and Emergency Medicine or, Board Certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

Training in minor surgical, orthopedic and procedural skills including: suturing and fracture/dislocation management, procedural sedation skills
