We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Sales & Account Manager (m/f/d) with a deep-rooted knowledge of the cruise industry to join our dynamic team in Hamburg, Germany in full-time. This role carries the vital responsibility of identifying, pursuing, and expanding sales opportunities, along with nurturing strong relationships with our existing customers, while delivering top-notch support. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and have a strong drive to acquire and retain new customers within the cruise industry, this is the ideal position for you. A background in the cruise industry is not just preferred, but essential for success in this role.

MariApps and Rescompany, together, offer a comprehensive range of maritime and cruise digital solutions using latest technology. The solutions are designed by experienced professionals in the maritime and cruise industry for both ship and shore operations. We are a member of the Schulte Group who are one of the largest privately owned ship owner & ship management companies with over 135 years of experience. Together, MariApps and Rescompany have a team of over 850 highly skilled and experienced professionals who are working together toward developing and delivering digital solutions that will improve operational efficiencies, visible performance improvements, monitoring capabilities and more.

Main Responsibilities

  • Actively identify, develop and acquire new sales leads
  • Arrange and conduct customer demonstrations
  • Assist with providing quotes and preparing RFP’s
  • Build and maintain strong customer relations with our customers and prospects
  • Liaise with our internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Acquiring a thorough understanding of customer needs and requirements
  • Expanding the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Identify emerging markets and trends to identify growth and implement sales strategies
  • Create and/or update marketing materials
  • Maintain our database with accurate and current customer and prospect information
  • Represent the company at trade fairs and market shows

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in sales or account management, with a mandatory background in the cruise industry
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Critical thinking to enable translating customer needs into effective and valuable solutions
  • Ability to prioritize workloads, work on multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Possess a strong interest in technology (previous IT experience is not required)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluency in English, written and oral
  • Fluency in German would be an advantage
