YOUR ROLE:
The Entertainment Technical Manager supports the Entertainment Technicians in the operation for all Entertainment areas onboard the vessel. They assist in ensuring the daily responsibilities of administration, supervision and leadership for the Entertainment technicians are performed.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs, coaches, supports and supervises the performance of the Entertainment Technicians while assisting the Cruise Director in the daily Entertainment operation onboard.
Plan and distribute weekly schedules for all the Entertainment Technicians considering ILO work and rest hours ensuring MLC guidelines are adhered to.
Schedule and oversea Entertainment operations and all technical standards, including broadcast and interactive TV system operations.
Assists the Assistant Cruise Director in conducting regular inspections of all Entertainment areas ensuring that any shortfalls in cleanliness or standards are corrected.
Schedule daily theatre maintenance and manage the scheduling of provided content.
Provides daily interaction with Guests and provides outstanding customer service and delivery.
Oversee ship wide entertainment systems, and ensure they perform as designed.
Keep track of all necessary safety certification for technical equipment for continued validity
Take on Stage Management responsibilities within main Production shows when required.
Ensure safe rigging for the Aerial Duo and complete all relevant safety paperwork required by the onboard Safety Officer for each rehearsal and performance.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES:
Prepare appraisals for individuals under their remit in accordance with company policies.
Complete daily checks of all Entertainment Technical working and storage areas, ensuring they are clean, well maintained and up to Health, Environmental, Safety and Security – Management System standards (HESS-MS).
Work closely with Cruise Director and Musical Director to schedule and oversee technical support for daily activities and band sessions.
Attends passenger functions as required by Head of Department.
Partake in inspections, trainings and meetings as required by Head of Department. Cruise Director Assistant Cruise Director Light and Sound Manager Sound Technician Light Technician
Ensures that the set standards are kept, and staff members work according to their respective job descriptions.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Previous experience within a similar role onboard a Cruise ship or 4/5 star hotel/resort.
In Depth working knowledge of Dante Audio Networks
Working knowledge of Digico & Grand MA show control systems.
Demonstrated experience in motivating, leading and engaging a diverse workforce to increase synergy and improve productivity.
Passionate about people and able to handle guest complaints with a smile.
All certificates as required by the STCW code for this position.
Good command of the English Language.

MUST ALREADY HAVE or be willing to obtain:
Valid STCW Basic
Valid ENG1 medical (or national equivalent)
Valid Passport ID – with a minimum 6 months remaining.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
