Job Overview

MSC Cruises is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the Housekeeping Department in delivering the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction across cabins and public areas. You will assist in leading an international team and ensuring smooth daily operations onboard.

Main Responsibilities

• Assist the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing all housekeeping operations for guest cabins, public areas, crew areas, and laundry
• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Cabin Stewards, Public Area Attendants, and other housekeeping staff
• Ensure company cleanliness standards are consistently met or exceeded
• Manage inventory of linen, cleaning supplies, and housekeeping equipment
• Conduct regular inspections and follow up on maintenance or guest issues
• Provide training, support, and performance feedback to housekeeping staff
• Liaise with other departments (e.g. Front Office, Technical, Laundry) to ensure seamless service delivery
• Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints promptly and professionally

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in housekeeping management in the hospitality industry (preferably onboard cruise ships or in 4–5* hotels)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages (Italian, German, Spanish, French) are a plus
• Good computer literacy (MS Office; experience with housekeeping systems is an advantage)
• Ability to work effectively with a multicultural team
