Job Overview

MSC Cruises is hiring enthusiastic and guest-focused Assistant Waiters to join our international team onboard. As an Assistant Waiter, you’ll support the Waiters in delivering excellent dining experiences to our guests across main dining rooms and specialty restaurants.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Waiters in providing timely and professional food and beverage service
• Prepare and set up tables before service and ensure cleanliness at all times
• Serve bread, water, and other basic items during service
• Help carry and clear plates, silverware, and glasses
• Respond to guest requests in a friendly and efficient manner
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards
• Support buffet operations when needed
• Attend regular training sessions and safety drills
• Maintain a positive and professional appearance and attitude

Requirements

• Previous experience in food & beverage service in a hotel, resort, or cruise ship (1+ year preferred)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage terminology
• Team player with a proactive and friendly attitude
• Fluent in English – additional languages (e.g., Italian, Spanish, German, or French) are a plus
• Ability to work long hours and in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
• Physically fit and able to lift trays and work on your feet for extended periods
