Luxury Cruise Line - Senior Cruise Staff

YOUR ROLE:
The Snr. Cruise Staff is responsible for delivering an exceptional entertainment product to our Guests by interacting, socialising, performing and participating in other entertainment activities and assists the Assistant Cruise Director by taking an active part in the delivery and management of all Entertainment functions and programming onboard.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Shows an interest in and knowledge of the wider entertainment world with Guests.
• Ensures all entertainment presentations and entertainment activities are delivered to the highest standard.
• Participates with tour dispatches with the Explore Ashore Team.
• Engages with Guests daily and deals with any complaints and provides feedback in an efficient manner.
• Informs Cruise Director of any complaints.
• Provides a solo entertainment performance
• Consistently demonstrates courteous and considerate behaviours to all guests.
• Attends, hosts and comperes’ events as required.
• Works collaboratively with Assistant Cruise Director and Cruise Director to maintain quality
• Provides the Assistant Cruise Director with information and assists in the administration for the Today programme
• Regularly inspects all entertainment venues and activities.
• Maintain inventory of, and order when required, equipment and consumables.
• Mentors, develops and provides on-the-job training to entertainment team.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES:
• Attends passenger functions as required by Head of Department.
• Partake in inspections, trainings and meetings as required by Head of Department.
• Ensures that the set standards are kept, and staff members work according to their respective job descriptions and being an example to the Cruise Staff
• Ensure the ‘Saga Key Values’ are delivered each and every day.
• Lead and Motivate using the Saga Key Values
• Provide Exceptional Experiences every day for Guests and Colleagues

SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Previous experience as Cruise Staff/Cruise Host/Social Host/ess onboard a Cruise Ship.
• Proven people skills along with conflict resolution, counselling, mediating and motivational skills.
• Computer literate with a strong working knowledge of excel and word for departmental administration
• All certificates as required by the STCW code for this position.
• Professional Performance ability
• Good command of the English Language
