Chief Cook

We are seeking an experienced Chief Cook to join our 66-meter private vessel, committed to humanitarian operations in the Mediterranean sea (Search and Rescue Vessel).

The Chief Cook will be responsible for the preparation of daily meals for the crew, maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety in the galley. The position requires strong organizational skills, independence, and the ability to manage provisioning in line with budget and operational needs.

The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and full awareness of the vessel’s humanitarian mission.

Requirements:

• Fluent in English
• Valid Ship’s Cook Certificate
• Proven experience as Cook or Chief Cook on board large vessels (preferably over 50m)
• Ability to design and prepare nutritious, varied menus for an international crew
• Valid STCW Basic Safety, Security Awareness Certificate, ENG1 medical certificate, and all necessary travel documents for Europe
• Valid Ship Cook Certificate
• Excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and a cooperative team attitude
• Commitment to the operational values and humanitarian purpose of the vessel

Contract: Permanent position with a 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off rotation.
