Bring Children’s Eyes to Shine at Sea
Do you love inspiring children with games, fun, and small show moments? Then join Märchenkinder and create magical experiences for children at sea – on ferries operated by a renowned German shipping company.

Period & Availability

  • Assignment period: July 2 – September 7, 2026

  • Continuous availability on board is preferred.
Minimum on-board assignment: 21 days, by arrangement.


Location & Framework

  • Place of work: On board (ferry operates between Germany, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, and Lithuania).

  • Port of embarkation/disembarkation: in Poland: Swinoujscie, in Germany: Lübeck-Travemünde or Rostock Overseas Port.

  • Working hours: Max. 7 hours per day, spread throughout the day
(operating hours between approx. 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.).

  • Team: 1–2 entertainment / activity host per ferry.


Your Responsibilities

  • Implement a children’s program provided by us (e.g. games, treasure hunts, kids’ disco).
  • Up to 4 animation sessions per day, each lasting 1–1.5 hours, plus preparation and follow-up.
  • Welcome guests during embarkation, keep the animation area tidy, and complete regular reporting.
  • Important: No childcare / no duty of supervision – children may join and leave freely at any time (no registration required).

Language

  • Polish & English: the program is delivered bilingually.
  • For international groups: low-language program using facial expressions, gestures, and visual elements.


Life on Board

  • Accommodation: Shared double cabin.
  • Meals: Full board including water, coffee, and tea.
  • Amenities: Internet access as well as fitness, sauna, and whirlpool facilities (subject to availability).


Compensation & Bonus
By arrangement.


Requirements

  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • Experience in children’s entertainment, theatre, or educational work.
  • Confident in front of groups, communicative, enjoys wearing costumes, comfortable performing in front of an audience.
  • Fluent Polish and English; German and Swedish are a plus.
  • A clean, extended police clearance certificate is required.
