Faststream is recruiting for a Chef de Cuisine

Faststream Recruitment is partnering with a prestigious luxury cruise operator to recruit an experienced Chef de Cuisine for their world-class fleet.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished culinary leader with ultra luxury hospitality experience and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences at sea.

The Role
Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will lead the day-to-day operation of the main galley, ensuring exceptional food quality, efficient service, and the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and team performance.

You will oversee a large culinary team, support operational planning, and help drive cost control while maintaining an outstanding guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operation of the main galley and food production areas.
  • Deliver consistently high culinary standards across all services.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a multicultural culinary team.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Monitor food costs, minimise waste, and support budget targets.
  • Work closely with onboard departments to ensure seamless service.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and team performance.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef within an ultra luxury Cruise line with a passion for fine dining, ideally at Michelin level. 
  • Strong leadership experience in a high-volume but also very high quality culinary operation.
  • Valid Seagoing documentation. 
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety, cost control, and large-scale food production.
  • A passion for developing teams and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
