DJ Host / Mc - onboard luxury Cruise line

Disk Jockey Host / MC for Luxury Cruise line Oceania and Regent Seven Seas 

Key Requirements for the role: 

• Extensive Hosting Skills of parties, events and game shows etc. 
• Interaction with Guests 
• Master of Ceremony experience a MUST
• Exceptional English language skills 
• Preferred experience would be weddings, corporte events, and familiar with pop music and current trends rather than night club genre

Responsibility and Authority

• Create and maintain a warm, engaging, and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests onboard.
• Deliver high guest‐service standards by ensuring entertainment activities meet OCI & RSSC expectations.
• Provide musical entertainment as scheduled—including lounges, pool deck, production shows, private parties, and special events.
• Use personal music library and equipment to create an appropriate atmosphere for all assigned activities.
• Confidently use the microphone to host events and serve as an effective Master of Ceremonies.
• Host scheduled social, entertainment, and recreational activities such as Guess That Tune, Music Trivia, and Gameshows.
• Ensure all events begin promptly as scheduled and assist with guest song requests.
• Actively engage with guests, promoting upcoming activities and enhancing participation.
• Welcome guests at events and maintain an approachable, friendly, and patient demeanor at all times.
• Work cooperatively as part of the Entertainment Department and maintain positive relationships with colleagues across all departments.
• Assist the Cruise Director in implementing departmental guidelines, procedures, and training practices established by the corporate office.
• Be familiar with basic sound and lighting operations within lounge areas.
• Project a professional appearance, maintain good hygiene, and consistently demonstrate positive, courteous behavior.
• Exhibit an energetic, personable, and articulate presence with strong communication skills.
• Maintain positive energy and enthusiasm to create fun, memorable guest experiences.
• To consistently exceed guest expectations and provide the highest levels of product and services, additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required for the daily operation.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of two years’ experience as a DJ in various entertainment venues, previous cruise experience preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience serving as a Master of Ceremonies.
• Fluent communication in English as a premium language.
• Ability to play guest’s requests and mix music accordingly.
• High School Diploma, or Foreign Equivalent, is preferred.

• Contract: 20 weeks on / 8 weeks off
• Salary: USD $4,200
• Cabin: Single
• Report to Cruise Director
