Faststream Recruitment is working with a leading international cruise operator to appoint a Guest Services Officer for its onboard hospitality team.

This role would suit a confident and personable hotel professional who enjoys working directly with guests and delivering a consistently high level of service. It offers the opportunity to transfer your established hotel experience into a fast-paced cruise environment while working with an international guest base.

The Role

As a Guest Services Officer, you will be one of the main points of contact for guests onboard, providing assistance, answering enquiries and helping to ensure their experience is smooth from embarkation through to departure.

You will work as part of a busy Guest Services team, handling a variety of guest requests and liaising with other departments to resolve queries efficiently and maintain excellent service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming and professional service to guests throughout their time onboard.
• Handle guest enquiries, requests and concerns in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Provide accurate information regarding onboard services, facilities and activities.
• Resolve guest issues effectively, escalating matters where appropriate.
• Maintain a high standard of communication and service at the Guest Services desk.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the vessel to support the overall guest experience.
• Build positive relationships with guests from a wide range of international backgrounds.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience working in a Guest Services or Front Office position.
• Previous experience within a large four-star or five-star hotel is essential.
• Previous cruise experience is not required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong spoken English.
• An additional language is required due to passenger demographic, with Italian preferred. French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Japanese or Korean will also be considered.
• A confident, professional and approachable manner.
• The ability to remain calm and effective in a busy, guest-focused environment.
